About Us

The Board Challenge is a movement to improve the representation of Black directors in corporate U.S. boardrooms by challenging companies to take the Pledge to appoint a Black director within the next year. In September 2020, three Silicon Valley leaders challenged their networks of C-suite Executives, Investors and Entrepreneurs to leverage their influence and resources to advance this movement. Six months later, 75+ organizations have taken the pledge or signed on as supporters, including Accolade, Arborview Capital, Best Buy, Executive Leadership Council, Gusto, Corning, Merck, Nasdaq, NYSE, SalesForce, Uber, United, Verizon, WW, and Zillow.
